2011 Oklahoma Gold Rush Grand Prix

Tulsa, OK (PRWEB) March 10, 2011

One of the Nation’s most unique motorsports event will be bigger and better than ever in 2011. The Oklahoma Gold Rush will be held November 5-6, 2011 at Hallett Motor Racing Circuit and features motorcycles, four-wheelers and UTVs competing on a course that snakes through woods, over jumps and along a paved racetrack. This year organizers hope to garner national recognition with more classes, big name sponsors and celebrity participants.

Hallett Motor Racing Circuit is a racetrack nestled in the rolling hills west of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Since the Seventies this 1.8 mile road course has hosted sports car races, vintage events, road racing motorcycles- and even a few notable celebrities like Brock Yates and Paul Newman have lapped the track.

But in 1995 a group of dedicated motorcycle enthusiasts came up with a different way to race around Hallett. They decided to literally race on and around the track by carving trails through the blackjack trees that surround the course. This off-road trail then joined the paved racetrack, making for a unique on and off road racing experience known as: the Oklahoma Gold Rush.

The Gold Rush has grown steadily over the past 15 years, with over 750 entrants showing up to race in the many different classes in last years event.

Hey, just looking around some blogs, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I’m currently using WordPress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?
