Meet Survivor All-Star Rupert at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino
Lac du Flambeau, Wis. (Vocus/PRWEB) January 05, 2011
Fans of the CBS reality series “Survivor” won’t want to miss a very special opportunity to see fan favorite Rupert Boneham during a special appearance on Saturday, Jan. 29 at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino. “Survivor” and Rupert fans can get a free autographed picture from 1 p.m. – 5 pm. at the casino main entrance.
Rupert first gained star recognition during “Survivor: Pearl Islands” in 2003, placing eighth during the competition. Audience members became endeared to his boisterous, friendly personality and his unique appearance that included a huge beard, tie-dyed shirt and large build. Less than a month after returning home, he was off again to compete in “Survivor All Stars”, in which he was voted fan favorite by 85 percent of the 38 million viewers watching the special “Survivor: America’s Tribal Council”. After winning a one million dollar prize for being voted America’s fan-favorite, he spent his prize money on his family’s debts, a college fund for his daughter, a new house for his family, and the creation of his charity, Rupert’s Kids, which mentors troubled children. He also appeared on “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains” as part of the Heroes team.
In addition to meeting his fans and giving away free autographed pictures during his visit to the Northwoods of Wisconsin, Rupert will be assisting the Lake of the Torches’ Marketing Department with the “Rupert’s $ 100,000 Reward” promotion scheduled for that day at the casino’s main entrance. As part of the promotion, qualifying Club Advantage members will be able to win one of nine $ 1,000 cash prizes and one very lucky winner will have the chance to win up to $ 100,000! Rupert will be helping with the drawings and helping winners pick their prize.
“Rupert’s one of the most colorful contestants of all time on a reality television series. I can’t wait for the chance to meet Rupert,” said Lake of the Torches’ Director of Marketing Michael J. Broderick. “I’m sure many Survivor fans will be thrilled to meet him right here in Lac du Flambeau, get a free autographed picture, and have the chance to win up to $ 100,000”!

Hey, just looking around some blogs, seems a pretty nice platform you are using. I’m currently using WordPress for a few of my sites but looking to change one of them over to a platform similar to yours as a trial run. Anything in particular you would recommend about it?
